Hello and Welcome to Harish's World. I am Harish (should be obvious isn't it). This website is still in it's nascent state and I have some plans which I hopefully will be executing quite soon. In the mean time if you have anything to say about this website, be it either suggestions or comments, feel free to sign my Guest Book.
The Aftermath
harish — Tue, 06/20/2006 - 10:36
I am surprised that the human mind is so gullible. Just how easy it is for someone to jump to conclusions without even waiting to get the complete fact or story. No wonder the more intelligent beings of the human race so easily manipulate the others and get away with anything. You must be wondering what am I blabbering? Well proceed further only after you have read this article (including the comments).
3 out of 3 - A Coincidence?
harish — Thu, 06/15/2006 - 17:38
First Test, India vs. West Indies, Antigua, West Indian First Innings - Brian Charles Lara got out to a rash stroke wide outside the off stump. Indian second Innings - Mohammed to Dhoni, as usual Dhoni slogs, Ganga takes a catch at (or on) the boundary line, referred to the 3rd Umpire, about 15 minutes wasted and no decision made. Lara gets agitated, speaks to the umpires, snatches the ball from Umpire Asad Rauf and gives it to Mohammed. There's mayhem. Dhoni walks off, Innings is then declared. After this Lara played 3 innings so far in the series.
Where are the bowlers?
harish — Fri, 06/02/2006 - 15:40
After a long break, I started watching cricket matches again. I always used to watch them in bits and pieces, but now that I have move time to spare, I watch them in larger patches. In doing so one thing struck me hard, I don't know if it was only for me or if even others experienced the same feeling. One thing is for sure, I haven't read about it either in the papers or on the net. Where have all the bowlers gone?
Classification of Programs
harish — Fri, 05/19/2006 - 21:13
The other day my friend and I were having a discussion, or rather let me put it as an argument on who is a better programmer. This was not the classical argument where one claimed to be better than the other. It was an argument where the two of us were trying to prove that the other was better at programming. In order to give you guys a clue as to where I am heading let me include a small excerpt from it.
Him: i dont program well anytime
Me: rofl thats the best joke ive heard so far
Him: well... XYZ will vouch for that
Dissecting a Program
harish — Tue, 04/25/2006 - 16:00
You are given a problem statement. You need to solve the problem. Eventually you need to write a program to solve it. So how are you going to go about it? This is one question that I have been asking to myself for a long time. In order to do this, we first need to know what a program consists of. As far as a lay man goes, a program is just a set of lines of code written in a programming language. But I say it's more than just lines of code. Its poetry altogether (at least the essence of it is).
