Gone to the Humans
What is with these humans (myself included)? They are supposed to be a species with far better intelligence than the rest. Actually they do seem to be so, but this greedy nature that is rampantly inherent in them causes the other aspects of their so called intelligence (come on, the word intelligence was also made up by us i.e. humans) either diminish or it seems to be completely absent. Ok, what am I blabbering about?
No one is happy with what they have. Even when many have abundant of something, they still want more of it. Again I do not know how the word abundant came into being. There never seems to be an abundance of something, at least for the humans, or wait, they always seem to have an abundant shortage of something. Yeah, right, that is how the word came into being.
It is not something that is seen only on a small scale, but I see this behavior almost everyday when I read the newspaper. Why are all these wars going on? Why on earth is someone bombing some other place? Why are the so called terrorists attacking the others? Why has someone killed or tried to kill another? Simple, each party thinks that the other party has something that belongs to them. From where does this sense of belonging come to them? It is not as if they are going to live forever, but by fighting they are only going to shorten their lives further. In some cases there is always this argument that their names becomes immortal. Hah, how is that going to help. I will only believe that is good when some spirit of any person whose name has been immortalized comes to me and tells me that it is good.
In the process of gaining of whatever they (we) want, the humans always tend to ignore the rest of the world (human species not included in the rest, but ironically they also ignore the rest of the humans) and are in the process of almost destroying it. Humans always do something if and only if that action helps them in some sort of way. They do it even if it helps only them but harms the rest.
The other day while I was walking on the road, I saw a stray dog sniff out what looked like some bread from some pile lying on the road. It carried it to a small corner of the foot path where it was joined by another two dogs. The three of them shared the find. The same day, when I was returning home, I saw two people taking their wonderfully bred dogs for its evening walk. When they crossed each other, the two dogs were trying to escape from its respective leashes and get at the other's throat. Isn't it weird how even dogs change when with humans. I do not know from where the phrase Gone to the Dogs emerged and how far it is true, but this clearly seems to be a case where the dogs have Gone to the Humans.
I think I will stop my rant here, my phone has been buzzing for a while now.
PS: It was a friend of mine asking me for a book I had. Hey, you think I am going to give it, no way! That would help him get better and there will not be something that I can say only I know.
